BillMitra ("we", "our", or "us") provides India's simplest offline-first restaurant billing application. Your privacy and data security are our top priorities. This Privacy Policy outlines how your data is handled when you use the BillMitra Android application.

1. Data Storage & Ownership

BillMitra operates as an offline-first application. All your menu items, transaction logs, sales reports, customer receipts, and restaurant settings are stored locally on your device in an encrypted SQLite database. We do not transfer or sell your billing database to external servers.

2. Information Collection & Usage

• Restaurant Profile & Analytics: Basic restaurant information (such as name, phone number, address, and GSTIN) may be synced securely with Cloud Firestore to provide sync services, analytics, and software health diagnostics.
• Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics: We use Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to monitor application performance, crash reports, and app retention events. This data is anonymized and used solely to improve application performance and stability.
• Google Mobile Ads (AdMob): Our application uses Google AdMob to display banner and interstitial advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID) to serve relevant advertisements in accordance with Google's Advertising policies.
• In-App Purchases: Subscription payments are processed securely by Google Play In-App Billing. We do not store or process your credit card, debit card, or UPI banking credentials.

3. Data Backup & Storage Permissions

BillMitra enables manual local database backup and restore functionality. When you export or restore a backup file, the Android System File Picker handles the file transfer safely without granting our app unauthorized access to your private photos or external files.

4. Children's Privacy

BillMitra is intended for commercial business use by restaurant owners and merchant staff. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
